'The Seed & The Sower'exhibit January 24th-February 28th 2025
The Seed & The Sower
According to science, a female child is born with all the eggs she will ever carry in her lifetime. This means that a part of us, no matter how small, has been passed down from our mothers, grandmothers, and beyond. The concept of 'The Seed & The Sower' reflects the idea of a cyclical legacy, highlighting the interconnectedness of generations. This exhibit aims to celebrate the profound connections within Black, female familial relationships, paying tribute to our ancestors, recognizing our contributions to our bloodline, and embracing the aspirations we have for future generations. Join us as we honor the past, present, and future of our lineage.
As a photographer, I am honored to have had the opportunity to capture the essence of The Seed and The Sower exhibit. The powerful and emotional artwork on display truly speaks to the deep connections we all have with our ancestors and the ways in which their influence continues to shape our lives.
