We're Gonna Miss This Backdrop
Some places become part of your creative flow without you even realizing it.
For me and my wife, the Graystone Inn was one of those spots.
Built back in the early 1900s, the Graystone Inn started as the Bridgers Mansion. A 15,000-square-foot neo-classical home made with Indiana limestone, Italian marble, grand columns, and some of the most elegant architecture in Wilmington. Over time, it became a luxury inn, hosting weddings, events, and all kinds of memories for the community.
For us, it became a quiet part of our creative rhythm.
We never worked inside it, but we created around it.
Quick photos during golden hour, those times when the light hit just right and we had to stop and get a few shots. The building always added that classic Wilmington vibe.
Seeing it on fire hit different
Not just because the city lost a historic landmark, but because we lost one of our favorite backdrops . This was one of those places that naturally inspires you every time you pass by. We're praying for the family, and staff affected and grateful for the firefighters who responded. We're definitely going to miss creating dope visuals with that scenery, but the memories live on.
