I am so grateful for the opportunity to showcase my personal project, "Saddle and Soul," at the Sampson Arts Council's 'Sharing our gifts' exhibit in Clinton, NC. The artists' reception was a truly special experience, filled with support and love for us black artists. It was heartwarming to see so many people, both young and old, come out to show their support.
I believe it is important to acknowledge and appreciate our elders while they are still with us, and I am grateful for all the support we received at the exhibit. The exhibit will be open until March 14th, 2023 and due to the overwhelming response, there may be another meet the artists' reception in the future.
I want to thank everyone who came out to support us and those who have expressed interest in supporting us. Your support means the world to me. If you missed the exhibit, you can still order prints from my website and bring them to be autographed at the next meet the artists' reception.
Black art is not just art; it is history. It is a reflection of our culture, our struggles, and our triumphs. I am proud to be a part of this rich tradition and to share my work with the world.
Thank you again to everyone who made this exhibit possible and to everyone who continues to support black artists. Your support is truly appreciated.
